Below is the official statement from THE BOYZ regarding an update on the situation.
“We deeply sympathize and apologize for the confusion and inconvenience fans have experienced due to the recent design similarities between THE BOYZ’s light stick and the QWER light stick.
Light sticks are a precious symbol of connecting artists and their fandoms, and we fully understand the feelings of The B’s who have been upset by the controversy. After becoming aware of the issue, we have been discussing with QWER and requested a design change, but we have not yet reached a final decision.
We sincerely apologize for not responding more quickly to the controversy. In solidarity with relevant authorities, we will take strong legal action to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future. We will also be more careful to ensure that the precious symbol of the fans and the artist created together is not neglected.
We will always listen to the fans’ voices and become a more responsible and prudent company. Thank you.”
