BLACKPINK’s very own Lisa is soaring high as her music video for “Rockstar” has officially crossed a whopping 300 million views on YouTube! This significant milestone was hit on May 19, 2025, at approximately 12:45 PM KST. “Rockstar” marks Lisa’s third music video to achieve this impressive feat.

Before “Rockstar,” Lisa reached the 300 million views milestone with her performance video for “Money” and the captivating music video for “Lalisa.” Originally released on June 28, 2024, through Lloud and RCA Records, “Rockstar” serves as the lead single from her debut studio album, “Alter Ego,” dropping earlier this year. The music video took around 10 months and 21 days to reach the remarkable 300 million views.

The track begins with a confident tone as Lisa raps, “Gold teeth sittin’ on the dash, she a rockstar / Make your favorite singer wanna rap, baby, la, la.” This catchy opening line not only nods to her earlier work “Lalisa” but also introduces a fresh rockstar persona.

Although the song is performed in English, Lisa seamlessly weaves elements of her identity into the lyrics. For instance, she mentions, “Lisa, can you teach me Japanese?” showcasing her incredible multilingual abilities. Additionally, she gives a shoutout to her home city by referencing “BKK” in the pre-chorus, which is widely used to abbreviate Bangkok.

Filmed in several stunning locations across Bangkok, including the bustling Yaowarat Road, the music video has sparked a tourism boom with fans eager to visit the sites featured. Featuring a cyberpunk theme infused with Thai cultural elements, the video stands out as visually unique and vivid.

Fashion takes center stage in “Rockstar,” where Lisa raps, “Tight dress, LV sent it.” This line comes just months after she donned an archival Louis Vuitton outfit at a fashion show celebrating designer Nicolas Ghesquière’s decade with the brand.

Even amidst all the high-fashion flair, Lisa pays homage to her band, BLACKPINK. She raps, “They call me catch and kill,” a line many fans connected to the group’s hit “Kill This Love.”

In other exciting news, the Thai singer recently released a new music video featuring South African star Tyla, titled “When I’m With You,” which premiered on May 16.

This latest release is part of “Alter Ego” and follows hits like “New Woman” featuring Rosalía, “Moonlit Floor (Kiss Me),” “Born Again” with Doja Cat and RAYE, and “FUTW,” where Lisa embraces her alter ego, VIXI.
