On May 7, 2025, Bu Ji Seok, legal representative of the bereaved family of Kim Sae Ron, and Kim of Garo Sero Institute held a press conference in the Gangnam district, in Seoul. They shared an audio recording of Kim Sae Ron speaking to knowledge of his relationship with Kim Soo Hyun.
In this recording dating from January 10, 2025, Kim Sae Ron confirms that he was in a relationship with Kim Soo Hyun from college until he entered university, and reveals that they had slept together for the first time when she was in the 4th in college, at the age of 14.
However, this recording almost never arrived in the hands of the family of Kim Sae Ron and Garo Sero Institute. Indeed, during the press conference, Garo Sero Institute revealed that the informant in possession of this registration had been the victim of an attempted murder a few days ago. The informant claims to have undergone pressures from Kim Soo Hyun and Lee Jin Ho in particular, in an attempt to prevent him from making the registration public, before we try to assassinate him.
