A couple that began as “good friends” has officially registered their marriage. They are now beginning the next stage of their journey together.
On March 3, Tony Sun, a member of the Taiwanese boy group 5566, announced on social media that he and singer Ariel Sha are now married. The announcement comes after six years of dating.
“From today onwards, Ariel and Tony are no longer just good friends,” he wrote, referring to how they previously referred to each other after dating rumors took flight in 2019. “In the past, we had the romance of love and the comfort of friendship, but now, we have added the bond and responsibility of family.”
The couple decided on the day that they would register their marriage by flipping through a calendar. They chose the “simple and lovely date” of March 3, a time that could bring rain or sunshine. In both fair and stormy weather, the couple has vowed to go through life together.
The couple also thanked their dog, Nini, the third member of their family. Currently, Tony and Ariel aren’t planning to have a wedding ceremony, and a baby isn’t on the way.
