Cha Tae Hyun In Talks To Lead New Crime Investigation Drama – KpopHit

Cha Tae Hyun may be returning to the small screen!

On October 2, a source from OCN shared, “Cha Tae Hyun has received a role offer for the main character of OCN’s ‘Further Investigation’ and is positively looking over it.”

“Further Investigation” (literal title) is a crime action investigation drama about police investigator Jin Kang Ho from the serious crime squad who never gives up on a case until he gets to the end of it. He will solve unsolved cases with a team consisting of a passionate producing director (PD) of an investigative show with low viewership ratings, a detective who used to be a profiler, a bar CEO who puts his violent past behind, and a funeral director who used to be a well-esteemed autopsy doctor at the National Forensic Service (NIS).

If Cha Tae Hyun decides to accept the role, “Further Investigation” will be his first drama in approximately two years since KBS’s “Matrimonial Chaos.” It will also be his first appearance on TV since his announcement to step down from his programs in March.

OCN plans to schedule “Further Investigation” for broadcast in the first half of 2020. Though unconfirmed by the drama, Ilgan Sports reports that the drama will air in late March.
