Exciting news for BTS fans! Kim Tae-hyung, affectionately known as V, has recently made headlines for his lavish investment in real estate. According to local news reports, V has purchased a luxurious apartment in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul, for an impressive 14.2 billion won (around $10.1 million).
Real estate records indicate that V finalized the purchase of the stunning 273.96-square-meter residence at PH129 on September 17, marking a significant milestone in his burgeoning real estate portfolio.
This exclusive apartment boasts five bedrooms and three bathrooms, complete with breathtaking views of the Han River. Notably, the entire purchase was made in cash, with no mortgage registered against the property. V signed the contract earlier in May, and ownership was officially transferred following the final payment this month.
PH129, formerly known as the Penthouse Cheongdam, is one of the most prestigious apartment complexes in South Korea. Constructed in 2020 by Hyundai Engineering & Construction, it features 29 units spread across 20 floors, with striking ceilings reaching up to 7 meters.
In June, the government’s assessment indicated that one of the largest units within the complex, measuring 407.71 square meters, was valued at 17.21 billion won, showing the immense value of these properties.
This acquisition by V follows a trend among BTS members investing in high-end real estate. Earlier in June, fellow member Jin purchased a unit at Hannam The Hill for 17.5 billion won in cash. J-Hope made headlines last year by acquiring a penthouse at Afer Hangang for approximately 12 billion won. Additionally, RM and Jimin both purchased residences at Nine One Hannam in 2021, with prices of 6.3 billion won and 5.9 billion won, respectively.
