On Saturday, Feb. 27, the Korean Brand Research Institute released their brand reputation rankings for South Korean singers in the month of February. Keep on reading to see who made the top ranks.
The Korean Brand Research Institute analyzed 123,421,789 pieces of big data concerning South Korean singers from Jan. 27 to Feb. 27, determining a singer’s participation index, media index, communication index, and community index. Compared to the available 147,794,847 pieces of big data available for analysis in Jan., it decreased by 16.49%.
The brand reputation index determines consumer behavior. They analyze whether an artist has a positive or negative influence on consumer participation, a well as study their communication value, media volume, and community reception.
BTS is the Most Popular Singer For February
BTS (RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook) ranked at the top of this month’s brand reputation rankings with a brand reputation index of 13,215,433. The boy group has a participation index of 2,974,592, a media index of 3,267,225, a community index of 3,787,145, and a communication index of3,186,472. Compared to their brand reputation index of 17,265,853 in Jan., their index fell by 23.46%.

IU is the Most Popular Female Singer For February
Coming in second place is the “Nation’s Little Sister” IU with a brand reputation index of 9,656,213. The soloist has a participation index of 1,874,430, a media index of 1,944,182, a community index of 2,17,486, and a communication index of 3,667,116. Compared to her brand reputation index of 5,720,552 in Jan., her index rose by 68.80%.

Lim Young Woong is the Most Popular Trot Singer for February
“Mr. Trot” winner Lim Young Woong ranked in third place with a brand reputation index of 8,654,221. The trot singer has a participation index of 2,938,600, a media index of 1,264,847, a community index of 2,071,449, and a communication index of 2,379,324. Compared to his brand reputation index of 10,836,785 in Jan., his index fell by 20.14%.

BLACKPINK is the Most Popular Girl Group for February
BLACKPINK (Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa) ranked in fourth place with a brand reputation index of 6,149,244. The girl group has a participation index of 779,600, a media index of 1,216,154, a community index of 2,962,603, and a communication index of 1,190,887. Compared to their brand reputation index of 9,249,888 in Jan., their index fell by 33.52%.

Kang Daniel is the Highest Rank Climber for February
Kang Daniel snagged fifth place with a brand reputation index of 4,912,957. The male soloist has a participation index of 1,788,309, a media index of 422,566, a community index of 1,217,886, and a communication index of 1,484,196. Kang Daniel has the highest climb to the top, with his brand reputation index rising by 149.99%, with it having been at 1,965,228 in Jan.
