The Supreme Court of Korea has made their final ruling regarding Black Nut’s case of defamation against rapper KittiB.
On December 12, at the sentencing hearing for Black Nut’s second and last round of appeal trials, the Supreme Court upheld Black Nut’s initial sentence of two years of probation, with the possibility of a six-month prison sentence if he commits a repeat offense during his probation period. He was also ordered 160 hours of community service.
In June 2017, KittiB sued Black Nut for defamation for making sexual remarks about her in his song “Too Real” and explicitly insulting her while performing a total of four times in 2016 and 2017. Black Nut was formally indicted for defamation against KittiB by the prosecution in January 2018. At his first round of trials, he was sentenced to two years of probation, with the possibility of a six-month prison sentence if he commits a repeat offense. The same sentence was upheld in his first round of appeal trials as well.
