Hybe president, Bang Si Hyuk, was subject to a 12 -hour interrogation by Seoul police as part of an investigation concerning allegations of investors.
The hearing took place on September 22, from 10 a.m. to around 10:34 p.m., in the financial crimes of the Metropolitan Police Agency in Seoul, in the Mapo district.
Investigators accuse him in particular of having misleaded shareholders during the IPO process in 2019, telling them that there was no public quotation plan (IPO), while organizing in parallel a investment capital-related fund to acquire private shares. Thanks to this assembly, he would have made profits estimated at around 190 billion wons (≈ 137 million USD) via a special company (SPC). Bang if Hyuk denies these charges, saying that everything was done in compliance with the laws and regulations in force at the time.
