Product endorsements are common in any entertainment industry, especially in the Korean entertainment industry. The K-Beauty sector and the K-Pop world work closely together, and that is evident from the several stars that are the faces of beauty products. After all, with their stunning beauty and otherworldly features, it is only but obvious that they would be chosen to be the brand ambassadors of these luxury brands.
Here’s a list of some of the K-Pop idols that are or have been the face of luxury beauty brands.
1. BLACKPINK Jennie – Hera

Jennie is the face of Hera beauty and has modeled in their campaigns for several products like foundations, BB cushions, lipsticks, and others. Her ethereal beauty is the perfect fit for the elite cosmetic brand Hera as she looks effortlessly beautiful, almost 24×7.
2. Bae Suzy – Lancome

Suzy is the muse for beauty brand Lancome as she embodies the 21st century ‘it girl’ vibe in everything she does. Looking classy and sophisticated as ever, she has appeared in several of Lancome’s campaigns, and she always stuns.
3. Sunmi – Dior

In April 2018, Sunmi became the official face of Dior Makeup. Sunmi’s beauty is out of this world, and perhaps it only does justice to it that she be the muse of Dior Makeup, one of the leading luxury makeup brands in the world.
4. APINK Naeun – Shu Uemura

Naeun was selected as the “New Shu Girl” in 2018. Shu Uemura explained the reasoning behind their model selection as “The edgy and chic Son Naeun’s special atmosphere suits the values that our brand seeks, so we chose her to be our model” and “They are looking forward to the positive synergy that they will achieve with Son Naeun who is currently receiving a lot of love as a “beauty icon.”
5. HyunA – YSL

HyunA endorsed YSL during their collaboration with Vogue entitled “Endanger Me Red.” It is a well-known fact that red is totally HyunA’s color, and she wears it ever so gracefully in the campaigns. An absolute angel, HyunA looked fiery in red.
6. BTS – VT Cosmetics

The cosmetic industry, however, isn’t dominated by women only. South Korea is famous for progressively breaking down gender stereotypes, evident from the resounding success of boy groups who are renowned for their striking use of makeup to convey artistic concepts. BTS is one such group that has been able to do so, and for that reason, they were called on for a record-breaking collaboration with VT Cosmetics. It boosted sales manifold.
7. GOT7 – The Face Shop

GOT7 was chosen as the brand ambassadors for The Face Shop, and they have promoted the brand for very long now. According to The Face Shop, GOT7 was chosen as its brand ambassador for its young, energetic image. This is shown off in the various advertisements they appear in as well.
8. EXO – Nature Republic
