According to the Taiwanese Information Network Sanli News Network, the Taiwanese headquarters of 7-Eleven announced on May 17, 2025 the complete cancellation of its collaboration with Kim Soo Hyun, showing losses amounting to several tens of millions of euros.

The Taiwanese branch of 7-Eleven said: “All the production and marketing of the products concerned have been interrupted. In addition to breach of reputation, losses linked to abandoned products and canceled advertisements amounted to 130 million new Taiwanese dollars (around 6 million won, or 4.3 million euros). »»

The company added that a request for damages against Kim Soo Hyun was being examined, and that the company could therefore ask Kim Soo Hyun all of the sum – or more – in damages.

In March, the actor was preparing to make his first public appearance since his controversy. This public appearance, she had to be done in Taiwan for a fanmeeting organized by 7-Eleven. 50 police officers were to be deployed in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, a Fanmeeting place, to avoid any overflow.
